  1. Find a well ventilated spot to work in and cover nearby items with drop cloths to protect them from overspray.
  2. Using painter’s tape, tape stripes on the vehicle. Cover the surrounding area of the car with garbage bags and tape them down to protect from overspray.
  3. Apply Peel Coat to the surface and fill in the stripes. Hold the paint can 20-30 cm from the surface. Press the spray button and begin lightly covering the surface in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
  4. The first coat should be applied very light, with 50% coverage. That means that you can still see about half of the hood through your first coat of paint.
  5. Apply 5-6 light coats, waiting 2-3 minutes between each coat. The more coats applied the easier the coating is to remove later.
  6. For easiest removal, peel off coating within 3 months of application.
  7. Remove the painter’s tape from the surface of the car while the final coat is still wet.
  8. Once you’re finished, take your car for a spin around the block and show you you’re new ride. When it’s time for a new colour, simply peel away, clean and recoat.
