- Find a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths to protect them from spray mist.
- Remove the old hardware from the file drawers and spray with the Rust-Oleum® Specialty Stainless Steel paint. Be sure to follow application and dry directions on the product.
- While the hardware is drying, spray the fronts of the file drawers with Rust-Oleum® Stops Rust® Protective Enamel Spray in Sail Blue. Follow the directions on the paint can and let dry.
- Now for the fun part. Spray on the Rust-Oleum® Specialty Chalkboard Spray paint to the entire cabinet. You'll want to use a small roller if you're brushing on the paint. Let dry.
- Put all of the pieces back together. Before you start using the chalkboard, be sure to prepare the surface by rubbing chalk over it and erasing.
- This is a perfect spot for filing important things as well as keeping an updated to do list.
