  1. Set up shop in the backyard or garage by laying drop cloths around to protect your property and any small fury animals from spray mist.
  2. Rough up the surface of watering can with some fine sandpaper. Rinse and let dry.
  3. Crack open an American Accents® Authentic Patina Finishing Kit and begin with the base coat. Follow application tips and drying times on can. Whistle while you work.
  4. In a paper cup, mix a small amount of top coat with an equal amount of water. Using the foam brush, apply the top coat to a small area at a time.
  5. Immediately, with a crumpled, dry paper towel dab some of the top coat off in a random pattern, with quick, blotting motions. (Get your whole body moving!)
  6. Place a bouquet of your favorite flowers into the can and give yourself a pat on the back for another successful project completed!
