- Find a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths to protect them from spray mist.
- Remove the glass from the frame and lightly sand the frame (not the glass). Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Spray the frame with Rust-Oleum® Ultra Cover 2X Gloss Spray following directions on the can. Let dry.
- Spray the underside of the glass from the frame with Rust-Oleum® Stops Rust® Copper paint and let dry.
- Put the glass back in the frame -- remember that the painted side of the glass goes inside the frame -- for later use as a tray.
- Use painter's tape or stickers to make designs on the glass votives. Cover the top of the votive and spray with the Specialty Frosted Glass paint. As the paint dries, the frosted colour begins to show.
- Fill the votives with candles and place on your new tray. You can accent the tray with clear glass beads or pebbles too.
