- After finding a lamp with a simple rod structure and platform base, tape-off the light socket and cord for protection.
- Spray-paint the lamp and let dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Glue three ornaments (one at a time) to the base of the lamp so they completely wrap around the rod.
- Add the next layer, gluing one ball on top of the one below so they stack vertically. note: Have a bowl of ice water ready in case you get glue on your hands to minimize the risk of burning.
- After all the ornaments are glued in place, spray-paint and let them dry as above.
- Remove the painter's tape and put the lampshade on your fun new lamp base. I've seen lamps just like this selling for $200! This budget-friendly version only looks expensive.
